Nuvali Park, Santa Rosa Laguna
Living in my hometown for 26 years I witness many things from old looks to new development. Santa Rosa City is well known as the Lion City of Southern Tagalog.
From our simple house where I live it only takes 40minutes traveling this well known huge park in my City. Everybody knew this place; it actually shows urban living in a rural setting where it has become the shopping and leisure destination in the South of Laguna.
According to history Laguna in the early 19th century is considered as one of the most admired landscape in South of Luzon. Many migrants, particularly Chinese Mestizo invested large parcels of land in this area. It is ideal for nurturing agriculture, livestock and expanding trade and industry. Laguna has a long history. Its land is rich, fertile and has always been considered as the ideal environment for growth.
Because of quick progress at this era top developer Ayala Land and the Yulo family develop this kind of amazing place. Nuvali was a massive sugar plantation in the 1900; this vast Laguna land was purchased by Jose Yulo in 1948. Twenty years after, the Yulos introduced an important plan reallocating the land to industrial, residential and recreational developments. History was made when AyalaLand and the Yulo family came together to transform this 1,860 hectare land in Canlubang & Santa Rosa Laguna to a wholly sustainable community.
It’s actually open to the public and equally for us to really enjoys many activities like picnic on the park, renting bicycle so you can able to go around, skateboarding sports, boat riding, walking and enjoying the park, Art hopping seeing those metal sculptures, visiting bird sanctuary, Koi fish feeding, shopping, dining in some resto and bar, voluntary tree planting and most of all is too relax and enjoy this Eco-friendly park.
You really feel that this park aims green living and shows lot of reminders preserving the environment. So what else you gonna ask for if you only have few times and don’t want to spent much time to travel but to relax your mind. Glad that Nuvali Park is located in my place for a very short minutes. But don’t worry for those who are living in Capital City it takes you probably 1 hour including traffic traveling by your own car.
They also have Hotel for those tourists who want to stay for long and see the province of Laguna. And its Seda Hotel located nearby at the right corner lake park.
Now I was just here to enjoy the view and relax every time I visit this Park. Just enjoying window shopping and dine in, in not so expensive restaurant and enjoy my meal.
Enjoying sightseeing and feeding Koi Fish is actually fun, watching those busy people around and relaxing my eyes watching the man-made lakes.
Many people were enjoying the park, like families doing some picnic and picture taking, couples enjoying together the scenery, group of friends walking around and sing along with their guitars. Some are alone sat down and reading books, while others enjoying their self go around by bicycle.
The place is nice and consider as elite place. Where many discreet affluent people pamper their self take some coffee or shopping in some high end brand outlet and of course also ordinary individuals too. Nuvali Park is actually huge but very friendly in any person no matter what their life status. It just happens that this place was actually surrounded by exclusive people living in exclusive subdivision.
But then still thankful that we can still feel and experience urban life by Nuvali Park and it’s now one of the place attraction to visit for by those people who are spending vacation in Laguna Province.
I enjoy the Greenfield, manmade lakes, the sunset and people around. Once you drop in Santa Rosa City don’t forget to visit this place.
