A new day has come to meet and spend time for 100 kids which are resident of Barangay Layugan Pagsanjan Laguna.
Yes! A well known Pagsanjan Laguna, where you can see the most famous tourist spots at Laguna Province the “Pagsanjan Waterfalls”. (I would love to see and witness this amazing waterfall I never been there yet, I only seen this in internet, tarpaulin advertising board and post card).
But I’m not going there instead I will be part of “Handog Tsinelas and Feeding Program” by LAC Community together with Sinag Riders Group at Barangay Layugan Pagsanjan Laguna.
The sun is about to rise at 5:30am I need to prepare and take a lot of time to get ready for this activity so I will not be late and consider time adjustment.
From my hometown Santa Rosa City it takes 3 hours traveling going to Pagsanjan Laguna. The place is totally far from urban reflection. You will definitely enjoy seeing farms, mountains, simple mini resort and restaurant, fruit stand selling native fruits and many urban figures. I’m just relaxed enjoying all things I seen while riding on the van that brings me to our target place. (I actually travel alone and not joining the team because I don’t want them to get late too, by waiting for me so I make my own way and to meet them in the exact place for the feeding activities).
While I’m on travel I was imagining how exactly simple LIFE is. And that thing is to be happy and do good things in your life that truly mean for you. Especially by showing and sharing LOVE to your families, friends, people you care, to your special someone and to people who needs love and helping hands.
And I’m so excited to meet and greet these tons of kids of Pagsanjan Laguna.
When I reach the place I probably observe and say that people of Pagsanjan Laguna are simple, humble and a bit shy but they are accommodating.
When I reach the Barangay Hall of Layugan earlier than my team I was surrounded by kids that already prepare and excited to have their slippers and join to play with us.
While waiting for my team I just go around and let myself to enjoy what I see like green fields, people who riding on bicycle, small pond and healthy trees. I’m truly seeing rural life of in this nice place with simple people.
People here always smile and very easy along with.
Now our team already arrived and ready to start the program to conduct a short entertainment, while the other fellow volunteer preparing to cook for macaroni soup that will serve for the kids. And my duty at the moment is to be a host of few games.
It’s truly amazing how these kids having fun and enjoys our games and appreciates our prizes. We prepare funny jokes, educational games, sharing good thoughts and advices to our respectable founder of LAC Community Mr. John not only for kids but also to their parents.
Hearing their laughing and giggling is truly adorable in their innocent mind and jolly attitudes. Sinag Riders group also contribute to give few prizes for kids.
After an hour of games and song numbers the soup is ready to distribute and serve to the kids. We actually guide them for a good line up so we can give each and everyone their meal.
We let them relax, give time to eat and having a few minutes to prepare for slippers distribution.
Every bodies smiling and you will heard their sweet thanks of gratitude and it’s my pleasure always to be part of this amazing and memorable moment to meet these kids and people of Brgy. Layugan, Pangsanjan Laguna. Thank you so much as well for showing a warm hospitality and sweet treatment not only for me but also for us LAC Community and Sinag Riders Group.
Now time to give the slippers, we priorities small kids aged 3 to 4 years old and follow by the other older kids. You will notice how excited and happy most of the kids receiving their colorful new slippers. “Small things really matter”. It’s time to change their old faded dirty slippers for a new one for their new journey, enjoying walking and running to protect their feet.
Every 100 kids had their slippers and everybody is happy not only their tummy but also their heart and enjoy this day. Thank you so much for a wonderful and productive day. Unity is amazing!
And I feel so delighted for those kids, parents and people who ask to take some pictures with me together with them. It’s totally tiring but worth it to spent your day and time in charity, learning new things and meets new people and especially leaves inspiration, touching their heart and soul that people who love to help and doing good things like this is still exist. I really wish that many young people and teens will visibly spend and share their time in this kind of thing.
I will probably never forget this memorable moment for my very first time visiting the Pagsanjan Laguna Province.
Always remember that helping other people and kindness is precious while we are living in this world. It’s about touching the heart and soul of other people and be inspiration.
