LAC Outreach Feeding Program, Umbrella, Whistle and Flashlight (SOS Donation) at Liliw Laguna

Today is a lovely day, waking up early in the morning at 6am seeing a wonderful sun rise. I prefer to stay with my sister’s hometown at San Pablo City where you can find the amazing 7 lakes. And it’s quite near to travel my target destination.

Who doesn’t even know about Liliw Laguna? Well known Footwear Capital of the Philippines. Exciting right? But the most exciting part is to see and spend time to another bunch of kids for Outreach Feeding Program and SOS Donation. The program is about to give umbrellas, whistle and flashlights to 100 kids of Liliw Laguna. It’s actually charity project of LAC Community and once again this is my third time around to participate and join this wonderful activity.

From my sister’s hometown it takes me an hour to travel Liliw Laguna to San Pablo City. I need to ride jeepney that will pass through another town called Nagcarlan. While travelling riding in jeepney you will notice how beautiful Nagcarlan is. There’s a lot side by side running water resort and hot spring resort. People living here reflects simple life, the road is quite enjoyable where you reach the mountain view and see lot of running stream surrounded by different sizes of stones. It’s also relaxing seeing green field, farm and lot of trees. I’m already far from urban place.

Now I’m so excited to reach Liliw Laguna and see the kids I brought some few toys and gift for them.
Now I’m off in jeepney, safe and finally reach the place. When you reach the Liliw Laguna you will be pleasantly welcome by tons of long spontaneously different footwear store. It’s very lovely seeing different kind and colorful footwear to offer. You will also amaze with the structure of Liliw Church and how it’s attractive in your eyes made by red bricks.

The atmosphere was absolutely spectacular.

Now it’s time to go where the place of feeding program is.
My fellow volunteer group already has their own way and jeepney service to get in the place. So since I already commute I need to ride one more tricycle to climb the high road reaching Barangay Oples Liliw Laguna where the venue is.

The place was actually not easy to find since I need to pass through zigzag and even ups and down roads. Feel like it’s an obstacle in field but I know it’s really worth for

When I reach the place I had seen tons of kids and their mom sitting and waiting in the venue chosen by our group. My fellow volunteer started to do their own duties; some are preparing to cook for macaroni soup that will give to kids after the game activity to entertain them for a while.

Of course what else to do? I just put down my big fur bag on the table side and started to work and do my duties. And that is to be one of the hosts to entertain kids with my fellow partner Ms. Joms.
Our Founder Jem is too busy doing some stuff and preparing the umbrellas, whistle and flashlights.

The show must go on and all we need to do as a host is to let the kids play, sing along with us, dance and also orient them how important to be prepared in terms of natural disaster.

Educate them too and advice them to be a good human being. Everybody is laughing, giggling and even enjoying participate the games we have. Some of them were truly like the prizes we given from toys to cash reward.

Every time I see myself and experience this moment feels like I was getting back with my childhood and enjoying their innocent attitudes. It’s truly priceless.

These hundred kids are amazing but what truly catch my attention is a 5 year old girl who dream to be an artist. And when the moment she join our mini dance contest all of us was truly astonish by her graceful movement in dancing. She’s adorable and talented, glad I have chances to have a picture with her and I was hoping that she will grow with lovely heart and embracing the art especially in field of music and dancing. Obviously she had a natural blood of being an artist and very gifted.

Every kids has their own individual stories, I had chances to sat down even a minute talking with a  young boy who stop studying because he had a heart problem. My heart really burst into sadness hearing this kind of thing, why sometimes people who wants to live in good way suffer with illnesses in which they are not deserved to.

But the answer that I did to this young boy is “COURAGE” a wisdom word to encourage him. To motivate him and support him morally that life needs to go on especially at his young age.
I can tell you that every time you have chances to be part of charity work you will learn a lot how to value life hearing different stories from other people. And being tools as yourself helping other as a purpose is truly matter, it’s not about what’s in your pocket but your time to spend and your purpose to encourage unfortunate people, kids and old one.

It’s truly pleasurable in your heart and soul to make kids smile and give some help for a while. When the macaroni soups already cook our team started to segregate each cup for children. After an hour of games, it’s time to fill their starving stomach then after time to give them the umbrellas, whistle and flashlights.
While the kids eating we have chances to share vitamins C tablet to some mothers and adults who are in the activity area. And Ms. Joms orient them to love their kids and send her message of being so thankful for having us in this place.

After the kids were done at their meal our Founder Jem give his minutes of advice and word for kids to treasure and value education. He explain as well the proper use of umbrella to protect them in rain, the whistle that can able to use as a good tool to ask attention of help in calamity state and flash light as a source of light if there’s brownout happens in the area.

It’s time for us to assist and keep a good line up for kids to have their sos donation. We make numbering ticket for them from 1 to 100 so we can able to give one by one for each kid the umbrella, whistle and flashlight in a good flow.

Everybody’s wearing their smile, started to blow their whistle because of excitement, open up their umbrella and test there flashes light. And the sweetest part is they actually saying “Thank you” with you, which actually soften you’re heart because of their young age they know how to appreciate the small things you’ve done.

I will never forget this thing happen in my life, that I had chances to meet and hang around this tons of kids of Liliw Laguna. And see the kids enjoying as well our company. I also want to thank LAC Community for having me in their charity work. Learning and making my day productive, appreciating the core value of helping other people.

If you have a wonderful stories and experiences regards charity share with us!

HUMIDITEA Milk Tea and Coffee Zone

I remember that the only drink we knew before is only coffee, milk, tea, softdrinks and juices. But in this modern days we have new different kind of foods discover and made. I’m a coffee lover and I love coconut juice too.

Now who does not know about Pearl Milk Tea cooler?

Many Filipino love cooler drink or shake especially in summer to pamper their self despite of hot temperature in this tropical country.  Since there’s a lot of talented barista, cook/chef or food and drinks inventors (whatever we call it) the one that made things or experiment about drinks there’s a lot of new drinks to serve.

There’s an ice tea, milk tea, coffee jelly, juices with orange pulp, chocolate drinks, and black pearl drinks etc.

I’m not a big fan of Pearl Milk Tea but to experience new things is a good idea. Humiditea is a Milk tea and coffee zone Shop. Located along Rizal Blvd. highway in my hometown, it is near in well known Filipino fastfood Jolibee in Santa Rosa Laguna.

I was so curios for this Milk Tea and Coffee zone shop I’ve heard in some few friends of mine who actually been there.

It was late evening around 9 and I invited my bestfriend to accompany me and have some cold Milk Tea to dine and experience the place. When we get in the place I have seen its lovely because of creative and colorful ambiance of this Coffee Shop.

Colorful place is truly inviting to our vision because it feels like we are in a lovely garden with full of colorful flowers and butterflies. I love how they set different colorful sofa and chairs mix with colorful pillows. It’s a very pleasant place, you will enjoy to sat down with your friends and having a great chitchat enjoying your meal and drinks. There are a lot of different flavor drinks of milk tea to offer. But I ordered Hokkaido milk tea for myself and chocolate for my bestfriend, we also ordered 2 cups of fried noodles with siomai toppings. They also served hot coffee and hot red tea if you want hot drinks. And they also have taco and siopao to serve if you want as a snack.

The place was actually makes you feel like its home while enjoying your meal. They also have chessboard and snake in ladders game board if you want to use your time have fun to play this game with your friends. They also have nice paintings hanging, colorful walls and even the creative colorful crystal gems that covered the light as a design. A bulletin board where you can put your comments or anything you want to post/say regards your experiences in the shop. There’s also a photo stand in the corner where you can put your photos with your selfie and drinks or group pictures.

I find the concept of the place is Artful so anyone can really enjoy the colorful ambiance plus they will feel it’s like home. According to one of the staff it was started last December year 2015 and owned by Ms. Rowena Asido. It’s lovely and you don’t need to worry because its air conditioned so you will feel more relax and comfortable even if it’s hot outside. It was really fun to be in here having a great time reading some few page of my book I brought while enjoying our meal, the fried noodles was fairly okie but the Pearl Milk tea as their main drinks is awesome.

If you have chances to drop in Santa Rosa City I recommend you to dine and experience HUMIDITEA Shop. Enjoy and don’t forget to share your story.

Mama Mary Exhibit at Santa Rosa City

As a normal Roman Catholic we truly appreciate and adore the images of Jesus Christ as a God and worship his kindness and love.  But at this time we will pay attention to the Holy Mary as a Mother of God.

I love Mama Mary, I really do adore her, and in fact I got more scared to Jesus Christ when I was young way back at the aged of 7 years old I remember that. But every time I see Mama Mary I really adore her purity, gracefulness and also a finest lady image of being a woman. She is also a reflection of a kind hearted Mother to all Roman Catholic women that inspire many mothers to show love and affection to their children.

She is consider as a Holy Saint, a sacred Woman and even one of the important character who has a big role in the story of Jesus Christ our lord that written in the bible.

I was raised and open my eyes in this kind of religious culture and I don’t have any doubt loving and embracing my religion even if it’s not that perfect being a Roman Catholic.  For me religion is just only spiritual label and some of the rules and law was only made by human in ancient century. So many devoted people forgot the true meaning of HUMANITY while they insisting exaggerated way what is written in the holy book instead of thinking if they applied as well the moral values and word of god with their self. The truth is people are commonly judgmental while they don’t even look at the mirror in their own self and realize if they understand the meaning of peace, humanity and respect.

Either we are in different religion we must learn to respect and understand others regard showing faith, worship, culture and belief with their own.  It might be complicated for us to understand sometimes the other religion but the best way is to show courtesy of respect for them to live their own way in this wide world and give them a space in our heart to appreciate them as a human being.

Well I don’t have any longer to tackle more about things one by one to tell what we should do or what is right to do. The matter is we know to ourselves and clearly understand our mind the meaning of RESPECT.

Again I respect my religion as a Roman Catholic but I’m not religious and devoted one where you can find me day by day in the church, actively joining mass and even doing the novena rosary every day and every night. My faith and prayers Is always in my heart in God and church is a sanctuary of my soul and spirit when I want silently kneel down and talk to God.

September 8 is a Month and date where most of the Roman Catholic people knew that it was Mama Mary’s Birthday. As tradition every church was conducting novena masses, most of the Priest sharing good stories, preach and reminding us about Mary as a holy Mother of God Jesus Christ. It does truly amaze me how they knew the exact date of Mama Mary at this modern world. And of course Christmas is when Jesus Christ was born at December 25.

So lets me share you the main point of my journey, many of the Filipino Roman Catholic who is devoted, has their own expression of showing passionate love, strong faith and devotion not only in Church service but also making their own sculpture images of different Saint.

This is what I love with SM Mall nearby in my Hometown the SM Santa Rosa every month they actually conduct different event, exhibit, parade, small concert and many more.

I’m so glad I have the chances to witness this amazing different kind of Mama Mary Exhibit and overwhelm with the colors, how it was made, the sparkling dress and how it was sculpted the angelic faces. Every individual Saint in this exhibit has different stories and different name.  I love to tell you one by one but the only main reason for us to shown this is to remind us to keep our faith and keep praying for our spiritual life.

Every single Mama Mary figure in this exhibit is amazing but the catchiest in my eye is the amazing and famous Nuestra Senora De Pena Francia. Where you can find in Naga City at Bicol region of the Philippines and it has 5 million Filipino devotee’s, I wish I can visit this miraculous Saint and visit the Naga Cathedral someday .It also has amazing history in Spain and France.

The image of this holy saint woman with a brilliant gold crown in her head, covered with gold clothes is truly incredible.

It’s not only the eyes that amaze me in this kind of exhibit but also my spirit, wearing my smile and while walking around and stop to look one by one every Saint Images it really inspire me how a great figure remind us kindness.

And we all know that Mama Mary is a symbol of graceful, kindhearted mother and pure woman. In which I love the most.

This simple journey of being part of this public exhibit is wonderful moment for me. I only not gain spiritual belief but I also gain knowledge’s and aware of different kind of Mama Mary images. It might be named in different label on how we call each saint but in our heart there is only one that we believe as our god.

The protector, the guide, the spiritual god, our father, our friend, the love, the kindness, the word of wisdom and whatever we call it the matter is lets live in this world valuing LIFE and respecting each other as a human being with heart to spread love, humanity and kindness.

God Bless you all! If you really feel to express how you love your spiritual life goes on or change feel free to express share your story and inspire us.
