Sariaya, Quezon Province Philippines

Its May 2015 summer is near to end here in Philippines. All of my friends and buddies on facebook posted their Vacation journey and tour early March and most of them enjoying their April holiday. I really don’t have planned to go somewhere to spend vacation.

Thanks God for giving me a demanding best friend. For being pushy and letting me join her and her fiance for company outing. I don’t have much Idea about the place but I heard that Sariaya, Quezon Province is calm and nice. I’ve never been in that area but it’s quite near on my sister’s hometown where she lives.
Pack my bag and getting ready to join my best friend and her fiance company outing.

Meeting place is Manila were fellow employees of my best friend fiance gathered and we drive from the capital city and enjoy the road going to our destination Sariaya Quezon.

It’s still summer you will feel the hot temperature and humidity. (I’m not a big fan of summer temperature).
Middle March, April and early week of May is a season were lots of Filipino spent their vacation somewhere. They go out swimming with families, group of friends or company outing; some are out of town and some wealthy people of course make different trip but out of the country.

And it’s very common here to go out and enjoy the outdoor and find place where you can enjoy resort, beaches or unwind some place where you can do soul searching and relax.

Holy week is a big deal for many Catholic Filipinos it’s a sign for us to spend time to reminisce Jesus Christ as God sacrificing his life for all sinner to save them, his resurrection, traditional belief, pilgrim like visiting churches and do prayer station and then rejoice for Easter Sunday. After that everybody is seeking for places to reward their self to retreat and unwind.

So now going back to the story, it actually takes us 4 hours and half reaching our destination. It’s quite long, but were actually enjoying site seeing while traveling the road. Seeing how simple the people are living in this province. We see nice fruit farm, a few nice structure of traditional old houses and green fields. The wind and atmosphere is truly far from the urban. People lives in Sariaya Quezon also have cute funny accent the way they speak their word and language.

Base on my observation people live here related in Agriculture, fishing and selling their famous delicacies. Its calm, simple but captivating place to be, being here show that living in simple way is fine as long as you sustain and survive for your daily need.

They don’t actually make their life complicated, but happily living in peacefully way. I find fruits are eye catchy, side by side you will see in every corner of the road there’s fruit seller with mini stall made by nipa palm and bamboo. They sell watermelons, cantaloupes, santol, mangoes, and kaymito fruits.

Now this is a sign that I’m already far from the noisy, crowded and busy capital city. And I seen fresh fruit, old houses and the wind that blows my hair and touching my skin is too different from the air I breathe in polluted city.

We already arrive in Villa Del Prado Beach Resort, located at Barangay Bignay 1, Sariaya Quezon Province.
This resort is averagely good for all, very wholesome and I guess not that expensive. It’s also quite big and can really accommodate a company outing, big clan or families who want to spend summer. They have slide, one big pool, sports area where you can play billiards, arcade video games, volleyball area, basketball area, accommodating room, 24 hours convenient store and videoke sing along area.

There’s also a place where you can reach the beach and enjoy walking in the black sand. But be aware for creepy jelly fish. They also have lots of different cottages type and providing life guard to assure safety in case of accident might happen. You can also able to rent life saver jacket and tent. It’s entertaining, left and right you will encounter and see families and group of friends enjoying their foods and grilling barbecue. Some are busy cooking their meals and some are running around and hearing side by side giggles and many are excited to swims in the beach.

Enjoying loud music where every cottage bring their own amplifier, group of men enjoying their beer and sing on the karaoke. Everybody actually having fun and take a break for what life is all about escaping serious life about their personal problems, daily routine, job issues, broken heart (Oh yeah it’s me) and many more.
We arrive around middle 3 in the afternoon and first thing I did is to observe and look around. Try to check the swimming pool, the beach, our room and the other area. And it fairs enough to pamper you and enjoy.
After enjoying the ambiance, taking our meal for dinner and snack, I swim in the swimming pool of the resort and the beach. (But the truth is I really don’t know how to swim). Then after an hour, take some midnight snack and chitchat a bit with others and take a sleep. Because I’m excited to chase the sunrise and see how the waves of the beach is idyllic in the morning.

Now the sun is about to rise, a sweet reminder for us that life is keep going and sun is always there up to shine. Its 5:30 in the morning I wake up and running to reach the beach and witness the beautiful sunrise.
The wind blow softly, the waves are calm and people are only few walking and enjoying the morning shore. I grab my camera and take some few shots to take some photos of scenery and enjoying the ray of the sun. True! We should appreciate always the beauty of nature.

Everybody enjoying taking photos too, making their morning selfies and sipping their coffee in beach front.
Glad I made it, lucky to saw the lovely sun and enjoy this wonderful moment of my life to escape for everything. It’s like enjoying the moment where I’ am and treasure those simple memories.
Now time for boat ride and enjoy the view in the middle of the beach. Some of the fisher men live in tourism; they also earn money by providing boat ride for vacationers.

And glad it’s not that expensive as long as you make a big group, it only cost you 100 pesos per head in just hour and a half enjoying boat riding and go around. The good thing is we only pay 80 pesos in which we save 20 pesos, thank you Mr. Boatman. And we are only 6 passenger on our boat me, my best friend, her fiance and 3 other vacationers.

They provide life saver jacket for safeness, they are politely guiding you riding the boat and guard you.
It so lovely seeing the blue water and enjoying sea creatures when we reach the middle area. We also enjoy having fun joking and waving our hands to others boats nearby with us. Some are enjoying snorkeling and swim.

Now you can see the beauty and lovely Mt. Banahaw and I was joking that it’s Mount Fuji so were already in Japan. (Kidding)

Surrounded yourself by these lovely nature is fantastic what else more for those amusing and famous places in the world. But I don’t have any doubt being here the moment I witness the Sariaya, Quezon Province it taught me a lot.

Nature is truly needed by human and all we can do is to love and care the source of beauty and life. Nature gives us more than we expect and there are actually a treasure and powerful.

So I recommend this place for those who are looking for comfy and affordable resort located at Sariaya, Quezon. Have fun and enjoy your vacation.

It’s time to go home and go back to normal and reality.

Thank you Sariaya, Quezon Province
